I don't work from a menu of services. I start with the questions owner-managers actually ask — and help you find the answers in your own numbers.
01
“We're busy, but we're not making enough money!”
Being busy and being profitable aren't the same thing. I help you understand:
where your gross profit is coming from
which activities are making or losing money
what's driving your overheads
whether your pricing needs attention
where relatively small changes could improve the bottom line
02
“We're profitable, so why is there never enough cash?”
We look ahead rather than simply reporting what has already happened.
Profit and cash are not the same, and the gap between them catches out a lot of good businesses. The conversation becomes: what is likely to happen to cash over the coming months, and what can we do about it now?
03
“I don't know which customers, jobs or products actually make money.”
Overall profit can hide a lot.
One building contractor I worked with was profitable overall — but one of its contracts was making a substantial loss, masked by profits on the others. Once we could see each job on its own, the problem was obvious.
Your instinct matters. I'm not here to replace it.
You know your business better than anyone. What I bring is better information to combine with that experience — so decisions about prices, people and investment are made with your eyes open.
05
“The business is growing, but I'm losing control.”
Growth changes what you need from your numbers. Together we put in place the things that help you stay in charge:
budgets and forecasts you actually use
a handful of KPIs that matter
clear, timely management information
a grip on working capital
an eye on margins as you scale
sensible financial controls
Could this be happening in your business?
If your accounts tell you what happened but don't help you decide what to do next, let's have a conversation.
No presentation. No hard sell. Just a discussion about your business, the numbers you currently have and the questions you'd like them to answer.
